Another brand new design is leaving the Grounded factory, and this one is really exciting. Here are six key features of this new G2:
Full-Length Desk for Six People
The driver's side of the van features a desk running the entire length, with six stools and a foot rail securely mounted to the floor. This enables an entire team of people to work comfortably anywhere they go.
Outlets, Outlets, and More Outlets
We knew there would be some power-hungry devices being used in the van, often for long work days and for multiple days on end, so we installed 6 outlets along the desk to ensure each workstation could work freely. In total, there are 8 outlets in the van to ensure everyone can keep their devices powered up as long as they need
Conversation Seating
The passenger side features a cozy seating area with a table, perfect for face-to-face meetings, collaborative working, or casual chats. There's even some extra storage under the seats - we maximize every inch of this van!
Powerful HVAC
A roof-mounted, 15,000 BTU HVAC system ensures the perfect climate no matter where the G2 is parked. This upgraded system will keep a van packed with 10+ people cool on a hot day, or keep everyone inside warm since Winter is Coming (our CEO forced me to add the Game of Thrones reference, sorry).
Countertop Area and Storage
The driver side features a huge amount of storage space. Storage is split between overhead cabinets and the main cabinet that features both doors and drawers, all of which feature latches that securely close when not being used. This cabinet also features a fridge for drinks and snacks, and we even put in a sink with hot and cold water.
Custom Branding
We worked closely with the customer's design team to create a vinyl wrap that showcases their branding beautifully. This custom wrap will attract attention and display their brand to onlookers wherever they go, and those lucky enough to get inside will see the branding continue into the vehicle with a cyan vinyl wrap all around the drivers cab.
This build is heading out to the good people at the Institute for Digital Inclusion Acceleration, and they will be using the van to help build digital literacy skills in remote areas, but it has opened the door for a whole host of other applications. You could use this exact layout as an office on wheels or mobile headquarters, or take certain parts of this design and combine it with other modules to create anything from HVAC installation vans to mobile healthcare units.
If you know someone who could benefit from a sustainable work van, be sure to share this newsletter with them and tell them to reach out to us - we make free custom layout renders to showcase what a custom work van or camper van would look like!
